Peninsula Primary Swimming Pool Development
While many schools are closing their pools due to their poor state and the risks that fall on the Board of Trustees, Peninsula Primary School was determined to not only make the pool safe but to make it all season and available for the community use in conjunction with the local council. The cracked walls were removed and the pool loads reduced with the sloping beach and the play pool area. The entire area was roofed over using timber to avoid any issue of chemical corrosion and as it proved an economical solution. A heat pump system was installed that is very cost effective in operation. Resene paints were used throughout the specification for their strength of colour and serviceability. The school and the local community enjoy the pool all year round.
