Palmerston North City Council (PNCC) Community Centre

The Community Centre is a successful attmept towards interpreting biculturalism. The building adopts sustainable design principles and as Lee Matthews (Manawatu Standard) had scribed, the cnetre is one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in the city. This 1320Sq.m facility accomodates 16 community support groups. Incorporating office and ancillary spaces, seminar & meeting rooms, breakout spaces, service areas and landscaped outdoor spaces. Main driving fasctors for the design were 1) Reflection of city, it's history and prevalent socio-cultural scenario 2) Commercial sustainability & Socio-Economic scenario 3) Macro & Micro environment of the site 4) Sustainable design principles.
