Strike Entertainment Centre
Building on the success, of a previous bowling alley for Bowland, BKBTA continued their creative spatial planning for the fitout of the new Strike Entertainment Centre in Lower Hutt. Innovative planning allowed Bowland to include an additional laser strike facility within the same tenancy increasing the viability of the development. The mezzanine concept devised for The Lanes was developed further here with the new 24 lane facility including a suspended mezzanine with private party rooms, a corporate area and six lanes overlooking the main space. Beneath the mezzanine is the 250sqm laser-strike ‘battlefield’ with space themed props and luminous trompe-l’oeil. Strike includes a full bar, cafe and commercial kitchen, as well as meeting rooms and private function areas. The design continues the notion of ten pin bowling as an attractive form of social entertainment, as well as a healthy sporting activity.
