Squisito Fine Foods
An opportunity was identified to bring the sophistication of city living to an expanding Tasman District community. The brief was simple: to create a sophisticated environment with all the character of a cluttered Italian delicatessen. The long narrow site dictated the arrangement of the work space and display counter running almost the length of the shop. The opposite wall could then be set aside for display shelving, which was easily accessible to customers. The simple colour scheme, with strong tonal accents and directed lighting, was designed to accentuate and bring to life the sparkle of glass jars and the colour of product labelling on the custom display shelving.
