Arena Hotel and Apartments
This mixed-use development in the heart of Parnell comprises of a small tourist hotel, apartments, commercial office accommodation and retail space. The component buildings are organised around a landscaped plaza that is open to the north and provides public open space above the several levels of underground parking. This central plaza establishes an effective focal point for the development and allows as much natural light as possible into the building interiors while taking advantage of the significant views to the city and harbour. Scale and proportion have been carefully considered within the context of the surrounding area and the arrangement of materials, the fenestration and detailing look to express the component buildings and their respective uses while maintaining an overall unity to the development.
