8 Massey

Pukekohe’s population is expected to reach 50,000 by 2040 and it’s identified in the Auckland Plan as a “priority area” for significant Auckland Council investment in the next three years. Two distinctive brands, Animates and Lone Star restaurant and bar anchor the convenience centre. Market research informs the tenant mix of iconic hospitality, services and convenience retail brands. Lone Star addresses the street corner and sits apart from 8 Massey’s other retailers in a position of prominence. The original Art Deco building has been extended and refurbished to enhance the Lone Star brand. This iconic restaurant has been well received by the community and is experiencing excellent trading results. Animates occupies the modern retail facilities facing the centre’s parking areas. These have simple mono pitch roofs with generous eaves to create a sheltered shop front edge. Mexicali Fresh and Coffee Club joins the anchors, along with Bayleys and GJ Gardner’s to further fulfil the needs of the growing community. The potential retail and hospitality growth in Pukekohe is vast. Driven by the sophisticated demographic, 8 Massey will be the catalyst for future growth and demand.
