The Botanic Retirement Village

The Botanic Retirement Village rests on an expansive 8-hectare site, designed to cater for over 800 residents at completion. At its heart, the clubhouse and pool house were conceived as a vibrant community hub aligning with the contemporary aesthetics of The Botanic Retirement Village, emphasizing integration with nature and usability. The first in a series of apartment buildings within The Botanic Retirement Village, the Nīkau building offers 32 apartments for independent living. Set across four floors, the building provides a mixture of one, two and three bedroom units. The building is constructed with pre-cast concrete, with most of the facade leaving the structure exposed, enhanced by balcony shrouds and screening to provide privacy and shelter. The screen and concrete patterns are Nīkau inspired, this motif is carried through into the building’s lobby. When seen from the gardens to the west, the stepped building form is an appropriate response to the sloping landscape, firmly grounding it as the first anchor building of the village.
