Tamahere Villa Renovation
Our clients fell in love with the traditional charm of their villa when they bought it, but the interiors needed updating, and the layout didn't suit their family lifestyle. We picked the house up, moved it forward, and turned it around to create a grander entrance and better orientate living areas to the sun. Character details such as joinery detailing and rose glass windows were retained and copied to the new parts of the building. One of the original porches was removed to the garden as a summer house. Along with a striking black and white paint scheme on the exterior, the owners have created lovely courtyard and garden areas to complete the transformation. The house has now been part of a fine homes tour and featured in a number of publications.
