Pipi Beach House, Whangamata
With no sea frontage, two-storied neighbours, and a compact site, the challenge for architect Geoff Lentz was how to give the owners of this new holiday home the space they desired and a view of the sea. Following the adage "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em", Geoff designed a two-storied house, adding a roof deck to give uninterrupted views to the sea. With ? bedrooms on the ground floor, and open plan kitchen/dining/living on the first floor, plus decks at ground and roof level, there is room for all the family and their friends.
