Commercial Office Development
22 Oxford Street is a commercial development designed to enhance the urban environment and for natural day-lighting and ventilation. This project complements an existing commercial building on the site, providing a collegiate grouping of professionals and associated activities. The design of external areas supports this intention, with public access through the site encouraged through landscape treatments, pedestrian routes, active frontages and the provision of a cafe with the outdoor dining area creating a public destination at the heart. Windows are protected with wide overhangs to reduce solar gain, with external sun-louvres provided to the northern facades. Eaves on the principal facades are angular and the palette of materials and colours is varied around the exterior of the building to provide variety, modelling and identity. This mixed use development has created a vibrant extension to the central commercial district and a destination for both professional and leisure use.
