Aldersgate re-clad

Originally built in 1997 with monoclad and found to be leaking in 2007. Many changes have added to the end result of this home. A German cladding system on aluminium channels (ventilated cavity on RAB board) provide a nice concrete tile appearance that does not need painting. Cedar battens on stainless steel form the new balustrades to the previously enclosed decks. Large overhangs were created above the windows to provide rain protection. We introduced an additional cover batten to the window frames which provide an additional layer of protection to the silicone seal around the windows. This home in its original monoclad state had a CV of $700, 000 would only have sold for approximately $450,000 in its leaky state. Now complete the house is valued at over $2.3m in 2017. A worthwhile investment.
