Ashhurst Fire Station - Seismic Upgrade
The Ashhurst Fire Station seismic upgrade project required the installation of new braced steel frames for the seismic strengthening of the existing Appliance Bay, sheet bracing systems for the lightweight timber framed amenities, building and refurbishment of all interior spaces including; the appliance bay, offices, training room, BA wash and wash room facilities. The existing exterior cladding was replaced with a new cavity drained system, existing windows retained and exterior repainted to current NZFS corporate colours. The fire station remained operational throughout the construction period and the appliance was housed securely within the Appliance Bay each night.
