Oxford Street Apartments
This triangular corner site is the former home of an early Sir Miles Warren concrete apartment block demolished following earthquake damage. It sits on the banks of the Avon overlooking the River Precinct and will soon become home to a high quality, contemporary apartment complex providing more options for young professionals who want attractive options to live within walking distance of the CBD. Context has designed a light-filled, modern interpretation of the original building. An open and airy apartment complex, it will afford its residents a balance between privacy and community through their own private outdoor space and access to thoughtfully designed shared areas. Quality design and construction will enhance the appeal of the complex. Construction materials with good acoustic properties will give residents extra privacy between apartments.
