Architects writing about architecture and issues that impact the industry.
The profession of architecture opens opportunities for conversations on topics that are diverse, significant and often timely in our rapidly changing world.
Archi-Text invites members to write about topics that inspire them enough to take to the keyboard – topics could be embodied carbon, boundary-busting design concepts, bio-based materials, radical urban planning, te ao Māori in design, diversity in the industry, Passive House at scale, adaptive reuse, or an authority’s flexing of a vexing, perplexing bylaw.
A submission can be written as an opinion piece, in feature form or presented as a Q&A. The text, up to 800 words, will be edited before being published on the Institute’s website with the writer's byline. If relevant, and with the writer’s approval, the feature may be made available to the media for broader conversation.
20 CPD points are available for published submissions.
Submissions (with Archi-Text in the subject line) and general enquiries can be directed to Jo Bates: jbates@nzia.co.nz | 021 382 698.
