Ministry is an award winning NZIA architectural and interior design practice delivering projects of scale, elegance, and enduring value.With our main studio in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland supported by our team members in Palmerston North, Christchurch and Queenstown, our 30 strong team works across residential, commercial, education, aged care, masterplanning and most other project sectors throughout Aotearoa.
We are seeking a NZRAB registered Architect who has been operating at project architect level on complex projects ($10m+ minimum). This role suits someone confident in leading design, liaising with clients, coordinating consultants, and managing project delivery with clarity, care and professionalism.

The Role
You will take responsibility for leading projects through all stages. From initial feasibility studies, concept design through to construction documentation, procurement, construction observation, and handover.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Leading multidisciplinary consultant teams and coordinating project inputs
• Managing programmes, design quality, budget alignment, and client communication
• Developing clear project strategies and providing pragmatic, design led solutions
• Producing high quality documentation and contributing to design reviews
• Supporting and mentoring intermediate and junior staff
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
Current architectural projects range from bespoke residential homes to multi apartment building developments, education buildings and campuses, industrial buildings, commercial and hospitality projects and large scale masterplans.

• NZRAB registration with proven project architect level experience
• Experience leading projects valued at $10m+
• Strong design sensibility and technical knowledge of multi storey complex buildings
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients, contractors, councils and consultants
• Experience working through full project lifecycles
• Strong organisational skills, time management and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative studio
Knowledge of Archicad is strongly preferred, though training is provided for the right candidate.
