DLA Architects Limited is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Architect to join our growing Tauranga studio.This is a key leadership opportunity to drive impactful projects, shape the built environment, and contribute meaningfully to the future direction of our practice.
About the Role:
This senior-level position involves working across all phases of architectural delivery—from concept design to construction administration. You’ll report to the Directors of DLA Limited and the Tauranga Branch Manager and be actively involved in project leadership, client engagement, and business development. You’ll apply your deep technical knowledge and strategic insight to oversee complex architectural work with confidence and precision.
What You’ll Bring:
• Minimum 10 years’ architectural experience
• NZIA Registration
• Completed Bachelor of Architecture/Master of Architecture Degree or similar qualifications
• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s license
Key Skills and Attributes:
• High-level proficiency in Revit
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lead as well as collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Attention to detail, quality-focused, and compliance-aware
• Demonstrated ability to foster client relationships and support business growth
Responsibilities:
• Drive the design process and lead project procurement
• Prepare documentation for planning approvals and construction
• Manage stakeholder communication, including clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Ensure all project work meets internal quality standards and aligns with current codes and practices
