Solid Energy Centre
An extensive community consultation process has produced this astonishing multi-sport facility serving the small Westport Community. Innovative use of natural and artificial light provides a delightfully airy, spacious interior. Sophisticated planning allows the sports hall, gym, pools, squash courts and exterior hockey turf to share changing facilities. Layered cedar screens, pre-coloured metal claddings, stone and kingspan all serve to soften the dominant forms.
