Thornycroft Street
The scale of this large house on a long, narrow Fendalton section has been cleverly broken down into bite-sized pieces. The landscape, critical to success, weaves in and out of courtyards, flowing from street to stream boundary and the greenery beyond. The vertical timbers screens and bamboo planting evoke a distinctly Japanese feel, which is further enhanced by the interior commitment to crafted timber, privacy and interplay of light and shadow.
