St Georges Guest House
Created for the client’s extended family and friends, this new guesthouse confidently starts an architectural dialogue with the existing house on the site. The exterior material palette is a skilful application of raw materials and the robust detailing has been specifically undertaken to withstand the harsh marine environment. The U-shaped plan derives from elemental concerns, too, with a well-used courtyard providing welcome shelter from prevailing winds.
