Hawkes Bay Opera House
This Spanish Mission building is a national treasure and a much loved city landmark. Its sensitive restoration, executed with minimal impact on the existing building fabric, celebrates its value to the Hawke's Bay community. The architects' thematic approach to interior design elements cleverly links the 1915 theatre space to a new foyer and plaza. The Opera House is now a polished jewel in the cultural and artistic crown of Hastings.
