2018 Wellington Architecture Awards Winner
Riddiford Pavillion
What’s not to like about a public convenience that imparts delight and dignity to the experience of undertaking an essential activity. Ordinarily, a building such as this would have been hidden away but this one deserves its centre stage. Well-scaled to the surroundings, and with a clear relationship to the other pavilion on the site – a bus stop designed by the same architect – this structure benefits from strong colour, attention to detail and quality of construction.
