Te Toki a Rata Building, Victoria University of Wellington
Te Toki a Rata, a science facility designed to support high standards of scholarship and research, provides a legible new gateway to Victoria University’s Kelburn campus. The building unites this part of the university and forms a dark, reflective backdrop to the array of existing buildings on the opposite side of the courtyard. Two-storied, faceted and fully glazed, Te Toki a Rata is a welcome addition to Kelburn Parade. With perimeter circulation creating active edges, this building presents a wonderful shopfront for university science.
