2018 Auckland Architecture Awards Winner
Space Invader
This house is defined by a strongly vertical front-back dialectic, which creates a clever shift between the ground and upper floors, and a distinct relationship to the street. Articulated by a series of stratified planes looking through to interior courtyards, the project is well integrated into a beautiful landscape including, despite the challenges of the sloped site, a flat lawn. This is a great result for a constrained budget.
