Mary's House
This well-presented compact home with a ‘retro vibe’ makes the most of its tight site. From the carefully sequenced entrance, the house opens out to wide and dramatic views of Lake Tarawera. Inside, further drama is created through contrast – between light, bright-white bedrooms and darker, more enclosed spaces. The overall aesthetic is driven by functionality, with repurposed doors and bathroom tapware adding character to the material palette.
