2009 Nelson/Marlborough Architecture Awards Winner
NMIT School of Tourism, Hospitality & Wellbeing
Conceived as part of a master plan, this new multi-purpose teaching block confidently marks the entry of the NMIT’s Nile Street campus. A simple, cohesive form has been made visually compelling by carefully articulated elevations which are sympathetic to both the plan and the site. Glass curtain walls provide a transparency to the general public that is admirable in an institutional building.
