Courtyard House
A long inner-city section has been redeveloped to produce two north-facing private courtyards, the house arranged about a long central axis. Extensive use of glazing dissolves the barriers between the sleeping and living areas, allowing sun to penetrate deep into the interior where the use of natural materials adds to the warmth. The elevated pool and terrace at the rear of the section is the focus of the first floor bedroom and living rooms.
