The Architect has not so much overcome the challenges of a sloping site as taken advantage of them. The undulating elevations, abetted by the Architect’s colour strategy, impart a depth to the structure, and enhance the building’s engagement with, and contribution to, its urban environment; Hardinge Street, in particular, has been enlivened by the building’s design and careful siting. A generous central courtyard and internal street, together with an interesting material palette, make for a welcoming interior.
