2013 Wellington Architecture Awards Winner
Ngā Purapura
Created for the Te Wānanga-O-Raukawa, this project has become an important asset for the wider community and an inspiration to the rest of the country. In supporting learning about physical, spiritual, emotional and social wellbeing the building also teaches creativity and sustainability, at the same time as lifting the human spirit. This is inspired architecture, drawing on Maori culture and the skills of local craftspeople to create so much more than a building: this is a place.
