Lambton Square Shopping Centre Refurbishment
While the lively new dining hall is a wonderful space to behold, the real genius of the Lambton Square redevelopment is the way the building addresses Lambton Quay and negotiates the curve of the street. Working positively with city officials, the architects have designed a first floor glazed screen able to traverse public/private boundaries to create an edge that enhances the street as well as providing patrons with an attractive dining experience at tree level. The strengthening of connections through the site also helps to build on Wellington’s tradition of through-site links.
