Heretaunga College
In what has been an almost total rebuild over several years, the architects have infused spaces with light and outlook to align the buildings with contemporary educational philosophy. The project emphasises transparency and connectivity to give the whole campus an enhanced legibility, a strategy that has had positive effects on student behaviour. Selective areas of detail and uplifting colours are used as counterpoints to the generally robust materials and detailing to create spaces with warmth and spirit.
