2014 New Zealand Architecture Awards Winner
Massey University Te Ara Hihiko College of Creative Arts
Making use of prefabricated laminated timber technology, this building is exemplary on several fronts. With its extensive use of timber, the project exploits one of New Zealand's most important renewable resources. The generous spatial dimensions enable flexible planning, and into the future, this building should easily be able to accommodate changing requirements. Moreover, it is a lovely place in which to work and study, a quality which helps to make this a truly sustainable project.
