The Crescent
This project stands as a testament to the unwavering resilience of both architect and client, triumphing over the intricate challenges of its site and the elements. Cleverly navigating the complexities of the site’s landform and its compact neighborhood context, it crafts a family home that is simultaneously serene, playful and timeless. Offering panoramic views of Wellington, artfully framed by an existing Pōhutukawa, the design evokes the charm of an Italian hilltop town. A sophisticated palette of materials anchors the project to its ridge-top location, while an endearing spatial sequence of compression and release adds a dynamic and captivating dimension.
