This interior represents a thoughtful revitalisation of legal office culture inspired by a work place strategy investigation emphasising “authenticity and warmth”. The design consolidates and re-uses existing built finishes and furniture where appropriate, but for the most part focusses on a tonal shift towards a soft and peaceful use of light, colour and planting, while attending to finer detail and textures. The reception on the north façade opens to the harbour and invites clients to meet in less formal settings where the colours of the sky, harbour and wharfs link with the tones of the interior, subtly drawing the outside in. Staff loop between specialist spaces and floors via a central stair culminating in a generous and elegant staff room above the reception.
