An offbeat alternative to commercial development that combines the clients’ needs for workspaces and an apartment on site. Cleverly planned in a series of alternating strips that divide the site into habitable workspaces with courtyards in between, allowing for a point of entry as well as a place to dwell and ponder. The interiors of the workspaces are cleanly detailed and light filled. The living spaces on the upper level are modest in size with inventive use of materials and details. Colour is used to heighten the senses. The Strip Mall development offers an alternative strategy as to how to live and work, as well as a viable alternative for commercial enterprise.
