Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects exists to serve its members in the profession of architecture and, to that end, retains neutrality on any other causes, agendas and opinions of a political or ideological nature that are not related to the profession. The Institute therefore reserves the right to decline to comment in the public realm on political matters, events or causes.
Any public statements of a political or ideological nature that members intend to issue on behalf of the Institute must be pre-approved by National Office. Similarly, as per the Institute rules, the NZIA logo may be used only at the direction or discretion of the Council or Chief Executive and no individual member may use the logo of the NZIA without approval.
