All Saints Parish - Hall & Office Development
The All Saints Community Centre was constantly eveolving project. Adding to the complexity of the project was adjacent church building, which is a New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT) Category-1 building - A National Treasure. Subsequently, Juxtaposing new agaisnt the old involved a very critical design porcess. We were working continuously with NZHPT during design development phase. Subsequently, the historic sanctity of existing church is maintained and elements are incorporated into the new building that reflect the original church designed by Fredrick de Jersey Clere in 1914. The new architecture compliments the existing structure, but at the same time it clearly delineates the transition - a time-line - between then and now. The 850Sq.m Facility includes main function hall, multipurpose seminar rooms, offices, gathering & spill-out areas, commercial kitchen, reception & waiting areas, and service areas.
