Bob's Cove House
The deft handling of this row of gable-roofed cottages shows an architect at the top of his game. The character of each linked space is derived from the way they address the incredible views and provide warm shelter. The ‘boat house’ forms provide an intriguing threshold between mountain and water, while the internal and external treatment of textures and finishes is delightful and inspiring, and the timber shutters, in particular, serve to create a wonderful ambiguity of purpose.
