2018 Auckland Architecture Awards Winner
The University of Auckland Science Centre
Stimulated by an abstract molecular motif on the façade, this bold transformation of a busy corner site cleverly integrates the existing buildings within the University of Auckland’s Science precinct. The design, which resolves a highly complicated programme and interface with existing buildings, successfully achieves an animated series of spaces and establishes a strong gateway and connection to the rest of the University. Opportunistic use of leftover interstitial spaces is a strength of this project.
