Matua House
This finely resolved Tauranga house has been lovingly crafted by an architect son into a retirement haven for his parents. The detailing and material selection is cohesive and thoughtful and contributes a delightful and comfortable atmosphere to the home. The planning, organised to capitalise on views near and far, has been adroitly handled, bringing garden and nearby landmarks – Mauao, Tauranga Harbour and Fergusson Park – into relief.
