Seaward House
This home is modest in appearance, yet with generous intent. Originally an alteration and addition, the project eventually became a substantial new build above an existing basement. Thoughtful planning separates public and private realms, with substantial living areas located on the lower levels and accessed from a concealed side entry. This significant volume opens north to the terrace and pool with unimpeded views to the Waitematā. Understated and restrained on many fronts, this project is instructive in its combination of clean, contemporary design with Passive House Plus certification.
