The Gisborne / Hawkes Bay of the Institute has launched a photo competition to coincide with this year's Festival of Architecture.
The competition, which carries the theme of "Shelter Me", has been launched as a way of celebrating architecture and photography in the region, aims to encourage people to take a greater interest in the way cities, towns and natural environments of the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne are composed.
The competition has an open and primary school category (primary school being years 1-6). The open category winner will receive $500 prize money, while the primary school winner will receive $100.
The competition is free to enter but there is a maximum entry limit of two photos per person. The competition deadline is 12am (midnight), 7 September and the winners will be announced during the Festival of Architecture, which is taking place all around New Zealand from 14-23 September 2018.
