Purpose of this position is to undertake technical functions to ensure consents that are being processed are in compliance with the Building Act, Building Code and other associated legislative requirements

Responsibilities:
· To undertake the Building Control technical functions set out in Appendix 1 to demonstrate full compliance with the Building Act, Code and Building Consent Authority’s policies, procedures and associated instructions to ensure that they meet the minimum requirements of the Building Consent Authority’s policies
· Ensure all relevant Building Consent Authority policies, procedures and Codes of Practice are understood and followed as appropriate.
· Manage customer expectations, ensuring an effective team approach to service delivery.
· Increase customer understanding of regulatory controls and processes, guiding customers through the process to achieve compliance.

August 2015 – November 2015
Te Poti Marae Redevelopment, Head of Construction and Assembly, Unitec
· Under the wing of Rau Hoskins, 20 students and I were tasked with the redevelopment of 200 year old site off the bank of the Whanganui River.

Responsibilities and Achievements:
· Hands on construction experience throughout all building phases (Foundations – cladding) including hand crafted work and use of numerous power tools
· Extensive research into structural systems, weatherproofing and methods of assembly to accelerate output of portal frame construction
· Team building tasks and co-operation with a large and diverse group

May 2015 – June 2015
Lead Designer, Head of Presentation Team and R&D, Alberto Foyo Architects
· Working with Alberto and in collaboration with 30 other students, our task was to change the face of the Gaza Strip in Palestine, to design a utopia for 1.8 million people.
Responsibilities and Achievements:
· Assess and analyze environmental, political and communal situation to setup a project plan of action
· Extensive research into agriculture, phytoremediation, dehumidification processes and their architectural implications
· Urban design planning, constantly thinking of micro and macro scale
· Distribute and oversee tasks and work ethic ensuring output is of high standard

2012 - 2015
Project Manager Assistant, INNZ (Private Company)
· My role involves being part of a collaborative construction team working on-site to an efficient and high quality standard. As 2nd-in-command, I distributed tasks to the builders and would take any occurring problems to the Project Manager but also was involved in problem solving, taking initiative and maintaining team cohesion.

· Planning and maintenance of the site
· Being able to directly communicate/engage clients and offer them advice that would further benefit them
· Working in a team environment, with a sense of trust to do their job well
· Hands on work experience in construction of houses throughout all building phases

July 2013 – November 2013
Director/Lead Conceptual Designer, Whakatane Community Hub Project
· Voted to lead this project alongside two active architects, I managed a team of 24 students, equally dividing tasks and setting up stations for different phases of the project to best suit each individual’s forte.
Responsibilities:
· Ensuring communication between, client, director and student was easily accessible and concise
· Planning project timeline for client use and for team clarity
· Documenting project progression to satisfy client’s proposal and for them to have further input
· Organizing and overseeing weekly team meetings
