Split House
This suburban home on a busy street cleverly balances the provision of ocean views with appropriate levels of privacy. Unified under a simple roof form, the interior has been carefully manipulated by the architect, with subtle changes of level delineating spaces, and intimate areas expanding into large double-height volumes that connect well with the exterior. The rich and warm interior is the result of seemingly simple yet appropriate materials being carefully and thoughtfully detailed.
