Forging their own path
At this speaker series, brought to you by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), a number of young women architectural graduates will discuss the very different paths they have taken in their careers.
Carinnya Feaunati is a 25-year-old architectural graduate at Opus Architecture. Her passion for social change through design drove her Master’s thesis research on the role of architecture in assisting the resilience of communities in developing countries. This work has forged an unconventional approach to her career so far as she now finds herself travelling the globe, co-owning a company, sitting in on a national committee and still working in her regular role as a graduate.
For Gazelle Monifar the decision to take up a summer internship at a construction company kick-started her passion for construction. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2010 she has developed her career in project management by working across a broad range of projects which vary in complexity and scale.
