University of Auckland: Student Exhibition

7 – 13 September

Event description:

The exhortation of American architect Daniel Burnham, "make big plans; aim high in hope and work", is often taken to heart by architecture students – as you’ll see at this exhibition of semester one work by University of Auckland School of Architecture and Planning students. Ever wondered what goes down at architecture school? Thinking about a career in architecture? Then head along to this exhibition and see the full scope of skill, imagination and technical prowess possessed by New Zealand's future architects. (This exhibition, designed by Manfredo Manfredini and curated by Manfredo with Uwe Rieger, is part of the University of Auckland School of Architecture and Planning's centenary celebrations and is a counterpoint to the exhibition on the history of the School, opening at the Gus Fisher Gallery on 8 September.)
